With snow blanketing much of New England at the moment,it's hard to think that about motorcycle racing.  You may not know it,but New England hosts the longest-running motorcycle race in America.  This year, the 96th Loudon Classic will be complemented by a new form of motorcycle new racing.

American Flat Track Racing Arrives

Now in its 96th year,the Loudon Classic will host the American Flat Track Series.  New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) and the American Flat Track series have jointly announced the American Flat Track Series will coming to NHMS on Saturday,June 15th,2019.  The event will be called Laconia Short Track.

New Track Preparations

NHMS is building a 1/4 mile dirt track to host the event.  It will be located directly behind the North East Motor Sports Museum.  Construction will require the moving of approximately 186,000 square feet of earth and 3,000 tons of clay to complete the track.

More Than Just Racing

The event will also feature exciting off-track entertainment as well.  Live music interactive displays and demo rides will be provided and available.  MHMS will ensure that a host of camping options will be available.
