凯特牧师!发布了他们的新行齿轮20吗22, and among the collection, some ladies’ gloves. They sent along a pair of Mosca H2O Ladies’ gloves to me for testing. Generally speaking, I have trouble fitting into women’s gloves, mostly because my fingers are too long for them. These, however, fit like, well… you know.

The Size Guide on the REV’IT! web site is spot on. Measure your own hands to compare, and the gloves you order will fit accordingly. For the record, the size Large fit me perfectly.

About the Fit

These are not just rebranded men’s gloves, and I can tell you that for sure because I own several pair of REV’IT! men’s gloves (in size medium), and these fit slimmer and are much more comfortable. The REV’IT! site says they are assembled with a female-specific fit pattern, and I believe it. They’re easily the most comfortable new gloves I’ve experienced, and I have what could be termed a “glove problem.”

These gloves are short-cuffed and small in stature, but, it is important to note, not specifically a “summer glove.” They’re windproof and waterproof.

The fit combines with the material of the gloves to offer fantastic dexterity and a good feel for the motorcycle’s (and helmet communicator) controls.

Outer Construction

The outer construction of the gloves is an “abrasion resistant 2-way stretch material” called Automan, that looks and feels like heavyweight woven stretch polyester. Each finger has a stretch panel that expands when you put your hands on the handlebar grips. The palm side of the gloves is soft goatskin leather.

The palm slider and thumb and finger protectors are all EVA foam, squishy and comfortable. The knuckle protector on the back of the hand is “visco elastic” and feels like a thin version of the CE foam elbow and shoulder armor in riding gear.

The left index finger has a strip of what feels like thin neoprene, to help wipe rain off your visor while riding.

Inside the Gloves

The gloves are lined with what REV’IT! calls “brushed polyester tricot” which feels like very soft microfiber. The manufacturer also says the lining is wicking, to keep moisture away from your hands. Nothing about the gloves digs in or rubs wrong while riding; they are very soft inside.

The hook and loop closure at the wrist is very secure. The rider can close it to their preference; the gloves are definitely not coming off with that closed up reasonably tight.

The Features

The product description comes right out and says thatinsteadof airflow, these gloves offer wind and water protection. I was able to test these gloves on several chilly (around 50 degrees Fahrenheit) New England spring days, and I can say that these gloves definitely offer a wind barrier and do not let cold air in. I also tried to wear them on the first very hot (near 90F) day of the year. They are much more comfortable in chilly weather than in the hot. That wicking liner can only do so much, and when your hand has been sweating in these gloves for 20 miles they prove difficult to remove. A longer trip on a cold day, though, saw my hands chilly in these gloves. They’re soft and lined but not very insulated. REV’IT! put “H2O” right in the name, though, so you know they’re going to be more waterproof than insulated or ventilated.

Who Are They For?

These gloves would be perfect for someone who lives in a predictable climate or only rides in warmish weather. They’re great for spring and fall rides. I’d call them city commuting gloves. They’re not hardcore touring gloves and definitely uncomfortable in hot weather. I didn’t ride in the rain with them, so I can’t comment on their waterproofness. They feel well made, and like they’d hold up well in unintentional contact with pavement. They might be perfect as a “spare” pair that can live in your saddlebags, to be used when weather is perfect, since they pack very small.

Aesthetically, they’re lovely. They fit tight but comfortable and not bulky. Everything stays put. They’re plain black gloves, and with a specific feminine fit, since women’s hands are thinner, generally, than men’s. I appreciate that REV’IT! doesn’t subscribe to the “shrink it and pink it” philosophy. No flowers, just decent riding gear.
