Charley Boorman, the hilarious source of dad jokes and endless wheelies on the popular adventure motorcycle shows Long Way Round, Long Way Down, and most recently, Long Way Up, has shared some action shots of Harley-Davidson’s brand-newPan America bike。“Some nice action shots of the Harley Davidson adventure bike… Great to see the Pan America getting put through its paces! Check it out at your Harley dealership – have a blast!”, Boorman shared in arecent Facebook post。他是否只是共享the photos because he’s intrigued, or whether the Livewires may be replaced with Pan America models on whatever adventure comes next for Boorman, it seems his BMW GS days are behind him – at least for the foreseeable future.

In the meantime, it appears Charley is busy organizing motorcycle tours in Australia this year. After Compass Expeditions, a company Charley used to work as a guide with, was forced to close due to COVID-19, Charley and his sidekick Billy are nowplanning to take riders across Tasmaniaon paved routes. “You can join Charley in Melbourne and have an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience riding around wonderful Tasmania and then wind your way to Sydney through the snowy mountains. Charley and Billy are at home in Australia, in fact, this is probably the seventh year of touring that amazing country. The tour is all on tar – no off-road – so suitable for practically anyone who can throw their leg over a motorcycle. We are optimistic and hope to see 2021 as a bumper year for international travel and adventures! But of course, we’re not naive and we are aware of the potential for a second wave of Covid restrictions – but we are formulating plans on how best to deal with this and will keep everyone in the loop”, Boorman’s news statement reads.

If riding with Charley Boorman is on your bucket list, now is the time – and who knows, you may get to test the Pan America, too.

And if you haven’t yet seen the Long Way Up, here is a brilliant interview with Charley Boorman discussing the newest trip on the Harley-Davidson Livewires:
