Our McDonald's All American split for Kentucky and the team has only got better since he split. Baylor comes into Morgantown, WV on Tuesday 02MAR21 ranked #2 and is undefeated. Only 2800 fans will be allowed to attend. But I'm one of them and I'm chompin at the bit. The last time Baylor lost a basketball game was this time last year in Morgantown, WV. Time to kick some butt. Let's Go Mountaineers!
The champion probably won't come from the Big 12 , we have a lousy record even getting to the final 4 , with the exception of Kansas , and they don't look that good this year . Baylor is very good , but you just know one of those danged Big 10 teams will beat them in the tournament . Gonzaga looks stout , but who have they played ?
Don't worry, there will be a Big XII team in the final four. Maybe two. Gonzaga had an early season invitational tournament opponent opt out. Bob Huggins called some folks at ESPN and said he wanted The Mountaineers to fill the spot. They did. It went kind of back and forth, but Gonzaga eventually won by 5. But we had no-shot Tschiebwe then, who couldn't hit a bucket two feet from the rim. See ya'! West Virginia has improved ever since he split. Screw the Big 10. Huggins and team faced Ohio State 2-seasons ago and clobbered them. Who has the Big 10 played this year? Each other. Seven teams from the Big XII are tournament bound. Eight from the Big 10, I think. But there are just ten teams in the Big XII, and what... 18-teams in the Big 10? That's 70% of the Big XII and less than 50% from the Big 10. Michigan is good, but I don't see them winning it all. Michigan State clobbered Ohio State last night and Izzo and team have struggled all season. There are some sleepers out there. Bama looks good. Florida State looks good. But nah, they aren't final four teams. There are three teams in the Big XII that are final four capable this tourney. Baylor, Oklahoma and West Virginia. Gonzaga is in an easy conference. Lunardi sees WVU going in the bracket where Gonzaga will be a 1-seed. I'm saying the Mountaineers are going to The Final Four. And they will beat Gonzaga to get there.

Hogs are still alive but not for any particular reason. We’ll be lucky (again) to get by ORU then Baylor will crush us. But still, it’s been a long time coming.
No real fan of ORU , but the great fun in the tournament is watching the annual Cinderellas beat the big boys . A few years ago when Stephen F Austin made their run it was glorious .
I would have done better just closing my eyes and randomly picking teams. This is the worst I have ever done. I missed 14 in the first round with one bracket dead all the way to the final. CBS says my picks are ranked 724,000th. My only salvation is that Baylor, Iowa, and Michigan are all still alive for my final four.

I’ll be honest, with the amount of hype and constant bombardment every televised game all year on every network about the big ten being this incredible strong conference head shoulder above everyone else, it was probably the most satisfying opening weekend ever to watch all but 1 of the 9 teams not even make it out of the weekend, over half of those were seeded 5 or better! Glorious. To only have one team, a 1 seed survive is downright embarassing. Bama wasn’t even predicted to make the tournament preseason, sweet 16 is quite a accomplishment. Glad to see the pac 12 good again, a quarter of the sweet 16, ucla will be a tough out. RTR
I had to pick Iowa or risk divorce. Grreatwife takes her Hawkeyes pretty seriously - not to mention Illinois. So, I had to take those two.
I wasn't really sure how good Gonzaga is , we don't get them on TV much out here in the middle , but after the way they dismantled a pretty good Oklahoma team, let's say the Zags are gonna be hard to beat .

Now that I am over the Heels and Iowa losing, it should be even more fun the rest of the way. Glad to have this back. But, man, I this always makes me miss being able to play some old man pickup ball myself. I suppose I was lucky just to play well into my forties. Oh, and of course I will rooting against Bama. It's all we have in the sore loser region of the SEC.
I’m pretty sure everyone not a bama fan is rooting against bama. if Bama can’t roll, I’d like to see one of the pac 12 teams not named usc make a run.
