Hey,GSpot gurus, there’s another Airhead 247 podcast out since we last updated you, and there should be another update this weekend!

The story so far:Back in March, we told you this podcast was coming, from Daren Dortin (also known as inmate @tennessee thumper). As the name implies, this podcast zeroes in on classic air-cooled BMWs, specifically the 247-series engines. Instead of in-jokes and inane back-and-forth between flighty hosts, you get in-depth chats with veterans and experts of the airhead scene. Episode 2 talked to Rick Jones ofMotorrad Electrik, and Episode 3 (which debuted in late March) talked with Bud Provin. Here’s what to expect:

Bud Provin is the 3rd generation owner and operator of the Nickwackett Garage in Pittsford, Vermont where he services and supplies parts for classic BMW airheads and classic Triumph twins. Bud is a regular contributor on ADV Rider and posts as “bmwwrench” a very appropriate name. His posts are poignant—and most often— spot on when folks are troubleshooting a particular problem.

Bud’s history and extensive experience with airheads and early K bikes is impressive. He worked in his fathers shop when they were an early BMW distributor for Butler and Smitt and later went to work as a master tech for Bob’s BMW, so he has first hand experience as BMW transitioned from a single distributor with Butler and Smith into the “modern era” with BMW of North America.

As always, you can tune intoAppleorSpotifyto listen to the show. You can also see Episode 3 embedded below:

Remember, this is an every-two-weeks podcast, so you can expect another episode to come along shortly! And also remember, you’ll find all sorts of helpful airhead knowledge right here inGSpot(andRoad Warriors, too), and you’ll see some of those forums’ go-to experts referenced in this podcast.
