Small displacement, retro/vintage bikes have a cult-like following. OneBelgian manufacturer, Bullit, is grabbing the attention of some of those followers. The company’s product line used to concentrate on 50cc and 125cc machines. But it now carries a line of 250cc models with a great vintage look and enough horsepower to keep things interesting.
This single-cylinder engine makes a claimed 26hp.
Bullit has added a new machine to its ranks, and it looks quite interesting. The newBullit Hero 250has a vintage scrambler look, and it caught my attention. It’s powered by a 250cc single-cylinder engine with double overhead cams and makes a claimed 26.5hp. That’s enough horsepower in my book to make things interesting.

To arrive at its vintage look, the Bullit Hero uses a 15 liter (~4 gallons) teardrop shape fuel tank with knee pads, a long flat saddle, flat handlebars complete with a cross brace, a small bash plate, and a high mounted exhaust. Adding to the fun is an inverted front fork and rear mono-shock. It also comes equipped with 18″ front and 17″ rear spoked wheels, disc brakes, knobby-ish tires, and ABS. All in all, it looks like it would be fun as a commuter or a bike for “light” trail use.
The Hero 250’s spartan dash isn’t full of gadgets.
The Hero 250 is not likely to bust hairy new trails or enter Baja, but if the scrambler look is your thing, Bullit may have a bike for you. That is if you live in Europe. Unfortunately for other residents of the planet, the Bullit line of bikes is not available.
But if you do live in Europe, the Bullit Hero 250 should hit dealer showrooms by December 10th with an MSRP of €4,199 (~$4,975).
