Royal Enfield’s CEO, Vinod Dasari, has said that the brand is hard at work developing new platforms and models. In June 2020, he said that the Indian manufacturer hoped to unveil at least one new model every quarter. Around that time, Dasari is quoted as saying:

We have the platforms, and under the platforms, we have the models, within each model we have variants, within each variant we have several color trims and graphics, and then we have the limited editions.

So five levels, we’re so excited that, to a point, every quarter, for the next three to four years, every quarter, we have a new model. It’s not just changing the colors or something, it will be almost a new model, or a variant, coming for the next three to four years.

Following Dasari’s comments, the company has announced multiple new bikes in recent months. The latest to arrive is the company’s Scram 411 released only to the Indian market for now. It’s a modded “urban” version of the company’s Himalayan in a scrambler format. If youwant to know more about the Scram 411, you can find it in our front page section.

Next-generation Bullet 350

And now, it looks like the company’s venerable Bullet model will be receiving a generational update.According to Times Drive, the popular entry-level 350cc machine is already receiving generational changes, as seen on test mules spotted in India. So the purported new generation of Bullet 350cc models makes sense, especially considering the company has already released the new Classic 350 and the Thunderbird’s replacement, the new Meteor 350. To “sort of” back it up,spy photos have emerged of at least one supposed Bullet 350 test mule.

However, Royal Enfield has not officially released any details on the potential new machine. But Times Drive says that the bike is based on Royal Enfield’s new J series platform; unlike the current machine’s single downtube frame, it uses a double-cradle frame.

In the power department, the engine will reportedly be the same one as found in the new Classic and Meteor 350 models. It that’s the case, the new Bullet will put out about 20 hp and 20 lb-ft (27 Nm) of torque. Other running gearwill also receive upgrades with bigger telescopic forks and improved braking components.

Finally, the bike will receive some changes in styling. According to Times Drive, the bike will likely receive different front and rear fenders, a stepped seat, and new color schemes. In addition, as is the case with some new Royal Enfield models, the bike’s instrument cluster may receive a new semi-digital unit. The new setup will likely offer Royal Enfield’s “Tripper” system for navigation.

According to Rushlane, the new machine could be on India’s streets by early 2023.
