Want to check out Aprilia’s new Tuareg adventure bike? The company is putting together an opportunity to do just that, aboard a rented machine in the Baja Peninsula, with the new Tuareg Experience tour this October.

This factory-run tour hits both the pavement and dirt, covering almost a week in Mexico. The tour starts and ends in San Diego, with riders heading south for their ride in the sun—see the official write-up below, off Aprilia’s website.

The experience is a guided adventure which includes rental of an Aprilia Tuareg 660, as well as all meals and lodging. Spanning 6 total days, the activity begins in San Diego, California in a loop that brings the tour on and off-road to Ensenada, San Felipe, LA Bay, Cataviña and back north for an unforgettable journey that celebrates the best mix of dirt, asphalt, sea salt and petrol. Join Aprilia in the first North American activity of its kind, crossing borders and terrain, on the adventure categories most exciting new offering.

The tour will include a limited group participation, with an expectation of riding most of the day on each day, over a variety of technical roads and environments. Experienced motorcyclists, with a minimum intermediate capability of experience in dual-sport are encouraged to join. The itinerary will cover more than 1000 miles, over six days, which is detailed below.

Aprilia says guests on the tour will arrive on Sunday, October 23rd to check into their room and get settled and leave the following Sunday morning on the 30th, with no riding on either of those days.

Aprilia’s sister company, Moto Guzzi, has been running similar adventure rides for a while now, and even before that, Aprilia was one of the companies that would bring its bikes out to track days. The company’s North American media fleet maybe limited, but it’s always keen to put paying customers onto its bikes’ seats. Events like this are a great way for you to decide if that new parallel-twin powered Tuareg is really for you!

It’s not a cheap trip, at $3,500 USD for the week, but when you consider the bike rental, hotel stays and all other details worked out, many riders would happily cough up the cash for this. If you’re interested, you can find more details, and a schedule for the trip, at Aprilia’s event websitehere.
