BMW Motorrad is announcing a new web portal called “Fuel For Life.” The new site offers BMW motorcycle-mounted experiences. The idea is to provide those interested in BMW ride experiences with the means to find moto-oriented activities such as tours and training.

The site presently only offers a small selection of activities in Europe. However, BMW does say that they intend to grow the site:

The wide range of “Fuel For Life” offers for BMW Motorrad experiences is initially available for Europe, but will be steadily expanded in the coming months and, in addition to “Travel” and “Training”, other exciting categories will soon follow.

Tours

Presently there are two tour options available. The first is called “The Great Getaway” and allows you to book an on-road tour to three different destinations. Europeans can presently book trips in Costa Rica, Portugal, and the USA.

The tours feature small groups (although the maximum number of individuals per group is not specified). Daily stages range from 150 to 200 kilometers (~93 miles to ~ 125 miles). BMW says that the stage lengths allow participants to complete the day’s riding quickly and in a relaxed manner. This allows the riders to share the day’s experiences in the evening at their leisure. In addition, each tour has an “urban” day where the group can immerse themselves in the hustle and bustle of San Jose, Costa Rica, Lisbon, Portugal, or Portland, Oregon. The second tour category is called “Follow The Trails.” The tour takes riders to “remote and undiscovered locations” of the International GS Trophy. This means that the tour will follow in the footsteps of previous GS Trophy teams using BMW GS bikes such as the R1250 GS, F750 GS, F850 GS. “Follow The Trails” tours will launch on routes in Mongolia, Albania, and Thailand.

Training

BMW’s training program called the “Racing School Europe” offers on-track training on BMW bikes such as the BMW S1000 RR and M1000 RR. You can test those machines on European circuits such as Italy’s Mugello circuit and in Spain at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia or Motorland Aragon in Alcañiz.

Training is presently available at circuits in:

  • Blitzheim, France
  • Mugello, Italy
  • Brno, Czech Republic
  • Valencia, Spain
  • Barcelona, Spain
  • Almería, Spain
  • Hockenheim, Germany
  • Alcañiz, Spain
  • Salzburg, Austria

Your time on track is made even better with the help of professional closed-circuit road racing instructors. Instruction is available in small groups at the beginner, advanced, and semi-pro levels.

Of course, pricing varies with each activity and location. For example, eight-day tours start at €3,950 and rise to €6,950 for a 10-day experience. Two days of training begins at €849 and climbs to €1,549 for three days.
