Are you Tuareg-curious? If you think you might be interested in an Aprilia Tuareg 660, and you’d like to try before you buy, then you can do so now, with expanded offerings in the Tuareg Experience program in North America.

This is a pre-packaged tour put together by Aprilia, including rental of your bike, arrangement of your accommodations and meals, and of course, a guide to take you along a pre-planned route that offers plenty of adventure (and also a good opportunity to evaluate the 660’s capabilities!). The Piaggio Group previously ran these programs for the Moto Guzzi V85TT when that bike came to North America, and now it’s offering this program for the Tuareg in both Europe and southwestern North America.

This year, the Baja Tuareg Experience runs March 12-18, taking riders from San Diego, California on a six-day, 1000-mile trip through the Baja Peninsula. You’ll see Ensenada, San Quinten, Catavina, Bahia de Los Angeles, and San Felipe. With SCORE’s Baja 250 race running at end of March, there’s also a good chance you’ll bump into racers preparing for that event.

Then later in 2023, we get the New Mexico Tuareg Experience, running in the southwestern US August 9-15. This ride starts in Santa Fe and ends in Jasper, Colorado, giving you a taste of the desert as well as off-road riding through the Rocky Mountains.

By the looks of Aprilia’s sub-site for the Tuareg Experience, they’re also offering a chance to run Sardinia’s Swank Rally, if you’re in Europe. Head tothe Aprilia global sitefor more details, but note that for some reason, the New Mexico event isn’t listed there yet. The US site for Aprilia lists the Baja eventhere; it looks like there is still room to sign up, if you have the $3,750 fee.
