Motorcycle companies like to go racing to show off their engineering prowess and hopefully increase sales. In a production series like WSBK, manufacturers are often required to build a limited number of machines available for public purchase, just so they can sneak their souped-up superbikes through the rulebook.

This quiz will test your knowledge about these homologation specials. These machines use production bikes as their basis. From there, the bikes can receive significant modifications (some more than others).

In any event, these bikes are made in very limited quantities, are meant to be road legal, and available for sale to the general public. The manufacturers hope these bikes will be similar enough to the standard production models to entice buyers into showrooms, yelling “Take my money—now!”

I will say this quiz is of moderate difficulty. If you’re a fan of World Superbike, you will likely do well on this quiz, especially if you’ve been a roadracing fan for a few years.

Once you have completed the quiz, let everyone know how well you did in the comments below. And as always, good luck and enjoy!
