The Georgia Mountain Rally is just around the corner, running at the start of May, and you can save twenty bucks if you sign up this weekend.

In case you haven’t been before and don’t know what to expect—the Georgia Mountain Rally is run by the BMW Motorcycle Owners Club of Georgia, but all brands are welcome. See a promo video for this year’s event below:

This year’s rally runs at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, Georgia on May 6-8. If you aren’t familiar with the area, look it up on Google Maps, and you’ll see that it’s right in the middle of some of the best riding in the US. Deal’s Gap (aka The Tail of the Dragon) is only 90 minutes away (or, errrr, less, depending how you ride). The Cherahola Skyway and Blue Ridge Parkway are also close-by, and the area around the fairgrounds also contains plenty of forest roads for dual sport riding at every skill level.

The rally organizers have put together guided road and dual sport rides, as well as useful seminars for attendees, this year’s presenters include Kandi Spangler (2021 Women’s U.S. GS Trophy Qualifier), Reece Mullins (BMW MOA president), YouTubers Rich and Chris Smith (Two Wheels Big Life), and Hawk Hageback (www.motohawk.com). There will also be vendors on-site; the rally hands out prizes during the weekend as well, including a Schuberth helmet, BMW riding gear and more.

If you’re registered for the event, you get a lakeside campsite on Friday and Saturday night, with showers and bathrooms on-site. If you want to bring your RV or want an upscale campsite, you can book those direcly with Fairgrounds management, but you’ll pay extra. There are also several options for roofed accommodations close-by the fairgrounds, including motels, hotels and cabins, and organizers have nailed down discount pricing at some of those locations. The rally also hosts a chili dinner on Friday night and steak on Saturday, with pancake breakfasts Saturday and Sunday.
