SW-MOTECH could have a leg up on many motorcycle accessory manufacturers. The MoCo tapped the Germany-based manufacturer to design and manufacture its OEM hard luggage for the Pan America. But in the interim, SW-MOTECH says it has been busy putting together a lineup of aftermarket bits under its own brand name.
Starting with a purchased Pan America, SW-MOTECH’s R&D shop began prototyping its own parts for the new ADV machine. Now, about 12 months later, SW-MOTECH is rolling out a line of products designed specifically for the Pan America. The new parts will be available this spring in Europe. For interested US riders, the new accessories will be available through its Portland, Oregon store this summer.

TRAX ADV Accessories
Although SW-MOTECH already manufactures the Pan America’s OEM hard luggage, they now offer a line of accessories for these OEM panniers and top cases. Some of the accessories include lid organizers, lid nets, inner bag liners, bottle holders, and expansion cases.
Tank bags
SW-MOTECH’s PRO Tank Ring System will be available for the Pan America this month. It’s a model-specific tank ring that enables riders to mount a selection of its PRO Tank Bags. For example, rings for the waterproof PRO Yukon WP or the larger upcoming PRO City WP. SW-MOTECH’s tank ring uses the Fidlock magnet system. It helps riders guide the mechanically locking rings into alignment for fast and secure one-handed attachment of the tank bag to the bike.

Motorcycle protection
There is also an extensive line of accessories to help protect the mechanicals of the Pan America. Probably the first thing that many ADV riders want for their bikes is a set of engine guards. SW-MOTECH has developed a set using “high-quality” 27 mm (1 inch) outside diameter steel tubing for the main bar and 22 mm (7/8 inch) for the support arms. SW-MOTECH says these bars are intended to blend into the Pan America’s bodywork while providing a convenient attachment point for gear such as SW-Motech’s EVO lights or dry bags.
Rounding out the lineup are accessories like axle sliders, header pipe guard, heel guards, EVO lighting guards, and a brake fluid reservoir guard.
Ergonomics
More accessories are coming to help riders connect more comfortably and conveniently with their machines. There will also be parts like handlebar risers, an adjustable shift lever, and SW-MOTECH’s own EVO footpegs. There will also be an easy-to-install centerstand and sidestand extension.
