The 81st anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally will go on in 2021. Organizers atSturgis.comare saying that the 2021 event will take place from August 6th to August 15th.

In a Sturgis.com blog post, organizers said:

Anyone who may have questioned whether the 81st Anniversary of theSturgis Motorcycle Rallywas still on can stop now. Sturgis Rally venue and organizersSturgis Buffalo Chipripped off the starting line today with Kid Rock and a $30,000 prize vacation giveaway for the first major announcements set for the August 6-15, 2021 Rally. Other rally entertainment and activities being planned include military tributes, Wall of Death stunt shows, charity rides and much more. Sturgis Rally Registration is open and taking registrations now atSturgis.com.

Confident

While some may question whether it’s a good time to release the Sturgis motorcycle rally dates, the event’s organizers are confident that the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally can go on as planned.

According to a Sturgis.com blog post, Randy Peterson of Sturgis.com said:

“The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is an expression of freedom for all who attend. It has been around for 80 years and will always be around.” –Randy Peterson, Sturgis.com

In the same post, Sturgis’ Buffalo Chip President and CEO Rod Woodruff said:

“We know from last year that outdoor events can be safely held when proper precautions are taken. The majority of people act respectfully and practice social distancing when they are expected to act responsibly. Plus, we feel good about the highly effective vaccines coming soon to market.”

The blog post also says that summer events’ planning is boosting confidence that life will be closer to normal next summer. It also points to unnamed music groups announcing summer and fall tours, music festivals, and the Tokyo Olympics. Should the event go on as planned, it seems like the 81st Anniversary Sturgis rally will have as much content as in previous years.

So if you plan on attending the Sturgis Rally in 2021, you now have your event dates. Registration is now open at Sturgis.com. Basic registration is free. However, there is also a “Premium Registration.” For $19.95, Premium Registration includes a rally pin, rally patch, welcome packet, Sturgis Rally Information, microfiber Black Hills map, coupons, sponsor gifts, a rally sticker, and a rally t-shirt for the first 200 registrants.
