Remember last week, when we told you that Harley-Davidson appeared to still be working onits 350-class made-in-China motorcycle?

It turns out the Motor Company has other big plans for its Asian partnership, or at least it appears to. Fuzzy Internet video showsanotherHarley-Davidson-badged machine on a test bench—supposedly, this was shot inside the QJ Motors facility in China. You can see the footage in the admittedly awful YouTube clip below, complete with robotic narrator:

If this rumor of a second team-up between QJ Motors (orZhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Group Co.) and Harley-Davidson is true, it would be no surprise, really. QJ Motors already builds this bike for other companies, including its subsidiary Benelli. This looks to be the same engine that’s used in the TRK502 and other similar China-sourced roadsters and ADVs. The engine makes almost 48 horsepower at 8,500 rpm, and 34 pound-feet of torque at 6,000 rpm. That’s enough power for just about any practical, real-world task, and a major power jump over most of the Asian-built competition, but it’s also a big difference from a Big Twin.

Of course, that’s all assuming that this video above is legit, and not some tomfoolery concocted by a bored hoaxmeister.

With that in mind, the question again is: If the video above is legit, along with last week’s reveal of Harley-Davidson’s continued work on the Chinese 350 platform—what’s the long-term play for Harley-Davidson here? Will these bikes come to western markets at bargain pricing, same as Triumph is doing with its 660 series? Or will H-D avoid bringing them to North America and maybe even keep them out of Europe, after its bad experience with the Street 500/Street 750 series? WouldYOUbuy one? What if there was a small-bore ADV bike, similar to theBenelli TRK502series, with Harley branding—would you want that?
