Many people say that electric motorcycles aren’t for them and they will never own one. Well, it seems that the tide may be changing, at least when it comes to owning anEnergica electric motorcycle.

增加销售

The Italian company recently said its 2022 sales increased approximately 52 percent over the previous year. They also say that motorcycle revenues are up 67 percent versus the same period last year. And while that’s good news for any company, Energica goes on to say that its pre-sales orders across its product range are also rising.

Although the percentage increases are pretty impressive, those numbers are easier to obtain when the numbers underlying the percentages are small. That said, the significant percentage increases are a positive indicator.

Experia driving sales

Driving some of that growth is Energica’s Experia sport touring bike. In its press release, Energica says that its order book for the Experia already equals half of all 2022 sales.

Livia Cevolini, the CEO of Energica Motor Company said:

“Thanks to the significant investments and strategy made together with Ideanomics, I am proud to confirm that Energica’s 2022 performance shows we are becoming established as a leader in the EV market.

“Our success is ultimately a reflection of our customers’ belief that Energica makes the best electric motorcycles on the market. I am incredibly proud and honored by the great feedback Energica received in the first half of the year, especially with the launch of the Experia. With Experia, Energica is rewriting the rules of two-wheeled electric mobility.”

Some of their sales growth may also be attributed to a more extensive dealer network. In 2022, Energica added 15 certified dealers in the USA. In addition, there are now 33 new certified dealers across the rest of the world. As of January 2023, they have 135 separate dealers and importers worldwide.

Energica’s main models concentrate on sport and sport naked machines. So it’s somewhat of a surprise that the Experia is driving the company’s sales. But could it be as good as its pre-order numbers seem? Its initial reviews were positive and if you want to know more about it,check out Bill Roberson’s excellent ride review.
