What’s the GS Trophy?

None of this makes any sense if you don’t know what the GS Trophy is.

The GS Trophy is BMW’s in-house skills competition for non-professional riders. During the international competition, riders from all over the world convene on a remote location to ride the range, so to speak, but also face off in trials-style competition and other challenges based on survival, camping and other adventure skills. The next international challenge will happen in Namibia in 2024.

To get to Namibia, riders must first qualify for their home country’s team. The US qualifier event gives riders the chance to get on the American team, as BMW’s PR lays out above.
