After months of teasing, including video footage of the new bike, Triunph unveiled its 250 motocrosser to the public over the weekend—sort of.

The big reveal took place at LA Coliseum at the final for the SuperMotocross World Championship. Two machines took to track, piloted by former pro racers Jeff Stanton (aka Six Time, for his six national Supercross/motocross titles) and Ricky Carmichael (aka The GOAT, for his dominant career).

You can see their ride around the stadium above. No, this wasn’t a race or a blazing freestyle show. It was just a ride to show the thousands in the audience that these bikes are just about ready to hit the market—and Triumph has given us a date for that, as well. According to Hinkley, the bikes will officially debut on November 28.

What we know so far

Triumph has not given much away so far, despitea reveal of the enginea few weeks back, anda look at the chassis(including an aluminum frame) a few days before that. We do know Triumph’s development team seems to haveno concerns about flogging the machine vigorously, but we don’t know who designed the engine or how much power it makes… or the bike’s weight… or anything else important.

However, we do know the 250 MX machine is the basis of a line of dirt bikes that is supposed to soon include a 450 motocross bike, as well as enduro models that will likely be very similar in their setup.

Triumph did announces its new @OfficialTriumphRacing channels on Instagram and Facebook over the weekend, and we would expect a steady trickle of info to come out there over the next couple of months.
