Harley-Davidson’s Pan America is a gateway drug, sort of. After years on cruisers, many riders who want to ride a made-in-America machine finally have the opportunity to buy something completely different, a motorcycle that’s truly capable of exploring the farthest corner of the US, whether those roads are paved or not.

And that’s what Staci Wilt is up to here, getting out on the Pan America 1250. If you’re a fan of the Ride to Food YouTube channel, you know that Staci is usually on her Dyna, sometimes on her Sportster—and now she’s uploading episodes showing her taking to the desert on Harley-Davidson’s first modern adventure bike. In the latest upload above, she’s on the Burr Trail in Utah. As she says:

After 11 years of riding only cruiser-style motorcycles, I’m finally fulfilling a childhood dream of riding motorcycles off road, except I’m doing it on a big, heavyweight adventure bike! On this solo motorcycle trip, I’m riding a 2021 Harley Davidson PanAmerica 1250 Special. Today is my first time ever taking an adv bike on an off-road route, and I’ll be doing it completely alone. My goal was to ride the Burr Trail (a partially paved, partially unpaved scenic route that connects Boulder, Utah to Bullfrog and Lake Powell, with plenty of scenic views of Capitol Reef National Park) and then head over to a few other unpaved roads in the state….but my plan went VERY unplanned. Being a new adv rider definitely comes with some big mistakes and some lessons to learn, and I’m here for all of it!

Like we’ve told you before: If you haven’t been there before, head to YouTube and check out her other work on theRide to Food YouTube channel. There’s a lot more riding than there is food, and her discoveries of excellent moto roads and eateries alike might be a big help, if you’re looking for a new region to explore yourself this year!
