The rebornMoto Moriniis trying to make its mark in the US market. The company has already announced its middleweight X-Cape adventure bike and Seiemmezzo SCR scrambler are coming to America’s shores. And now, Moto Morini says it is bringing itsSeiemmezzo (Italian for 6 and a half) STRhere as well.
Engine
The Seiemmezzo STR uses the same engine found in the X-Cape and Seiemmezzo SCR. Accordingly, it is powered by a 649cc liquid-cooled, fuel injected, 8 ohv, parallel twin engine putting out a claimed 61hp at 8,250 rpm.
Chassis
Chassis components are a mixture of steel and aluminum. The machine’s frame is steel, while the swingarm is aluminum. Suspension is an all-Kayaba combination with a 43mm upside-down fork that is adjustable for pre-load, compression, and rebound damping and offers 4.7″ (120mm) of travel. At the rear, you will find a Kayaba mono-shock adjustable for pre-load, compression, and rebound damping and offers the same 4.7″ (120mm) of rear wheel travel.

Braking
Braking comes courtesy of a Brembo setup. At the front you will find twin 298mm discs. Floating Brembo 2-piston calipers put the whoa on things. At the rear, there’s a 255mm single disc clamped by a 2-piston caliper. Bosch ABS is included as standard.
Wheels and tires
The bike’s wheels are of spoked tubeless aluminum alloy design. They are shod with a 120/70-18 Pirelli Angel GT at the front and a 160/60-17 rear.
Lighting and display
The bike’s headlight is an all-LED affair. Handlebar controls are backlit for easier identification. Finally, there’s a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity.

Weight
Moto Morini claims the Seiemmezzo STR will weigh in at 440 pounds (200kg) dry. With a full 4.2-gallon (16.2 liters) fuel tank and other fluids, the bike will probably weigh somewhere around 480 pounds.
Colorways
In the US, the Seiemmezzo STR will come in your choice of three colors, Anthracite Smoke, Metallic Red, and Vivid White.
Pricing and availability
Moto Morini has set the Seiemmezzo STR’s MSRP at $7,499.
