Apparently a new model called Zumo XT is expected to be launched by early March that will offer a bright 5.5" screen, a four hour battery life, a new cradle and improved routing and look similar to the BMW Navigator VI.

It might be worth waiting for, or grab a deal on the outgoing 595LM.

Unfotunately I expect the new model will have the Garmin motorcycle GPS premium pricing. But yeah, this might be the time/opportunity to get a discounted 595.

I think the old 595 is already down a hundred dollars on sale. The new XT will probably debut at 700-800 dollars (!) considering that the Nav VI is above 900, but it has the Bring More Wallet badge on it. May be the screen and features will make it a viable proposition?

Yes, but I think they will gouge on the accessories, if the prices on the website are anything to go by. The motorcycle cradle does not include the proper bracket or the power cord. WHY?!

Would be nice to determine more about the tracking, routing, waypoints etc.. in comparison to the Zumo 595..

These details seem to be missing on the Garmin site.

Display seems to be an upgrade with both size and resolution in comparison to the 595.

I think since they are selling the power cable separate, there is a pretty good chance that you can reuse the mount/bracket by fishing in the power cable.
So, possibly just the cable with a little work, but it wont be real quick.

Called Garmin and confirmed that the new XT is not compatible with the Garmin TPMS sensors. Wonder what other features it doesn’t share with the other Zumo units?

Looks like the finally addressed a couple of the flaws of the 595. First is the fat line track. It was a pain to differentiate between your track, and a trail/creek/road. Also, the uploading of tracks from your phone. Although I didn't specifically see it, they do show it in the video. Also the brighter screen.. big plus there.
    我喜欢与Inreach接口的能力.
I was never happy with the gazillion (ok, 5) cables hanging on the 595. Always a problem to stuff them in the light shroud. Always tempted to cut them off.. but couldn't bring myself to it.
