This morning, we have two juicy updates on the new-for-2024 BMW R1300 GS—a price tag, and some video!

First up, the MSRP. The BMW R1300 GS has appeared on BMW Motorrad’s financing calculator on its American website. You can see for yourselfhere. At time of writing (August 10, 2023), the bike’s US price is $19,590 (which should include about $700 in destination and handling fees).

That’s a $900 price hike over the 2023 BMW R1250 GS, which currently carries a $18,690 price tag (including fees) in the US. Everything is getting more expensive these days, which no doubt explains part of the price hike—it seems inflation is now just as certain as death and taxes. However, from the early leaked info we’ve seen, it also appears that you’re going to be getting a combination oflessandmorefor your money with the R1300 GS. It’s expected to come in lighter than the current R1250-powered model, and make more power.

That’s because of its liquid-cooled engine (not just liquid-cooled heads, but entirely liquid-cooled). No doubt other chassis trickery will also be present, but we don’t have a whole lot of officially-confirmed info yet.

But we do have some video, thanks to the madlads at米otorrad magazine(who also initially published that financial calculator info leak above). Motorrad has an excellent fly-by clip of the bike, which you can seehere.

For more details… just hold your horses and wait until September 28. Maybe we’ll see more before then, but that’s the official launch date at the BMW factory in Berlin, on the 100th anniversary of the first-ever BMW motorcycle.
