Radioman Rides the World.......

Finally got around to starting a Ride Report as i am just two weeks from my last day of work,and the start of an 新利18苹果adventure I have been dreaming about for many many years.

EDIT 11/22/11 Decided to make a short Index for those finding this Ride report later and just wanting specific information from parts of the ride.Hope this helps someone later to reread bit of the trip,hotels etc.

Like What bike to ride?There is no perfect bike (They are all good :)

First part of the trip was on my 2006 1150 GSA



But after lots of discussions and thought.I decided not to ride my trusted 2006 R1150GSA with 80K + miles (probably close to 100K after this summer),but purchased a 2011 F800GS to do this ride with.Primary reason for the change is the weight of the bike and less miles.It was a huge decision to make the change as I love my 1150GSA.

Found a Demo Model sitting in the window.The guys at Ride West BMW in Seattle spent a great deal of time with me and helped me in the process.Thanks to Kerry,Dave,Omar for all your help!!




Will need a bunch of work to get it ready for the road!....
