Americade, the US’s largest multi-brand motorcycle touring rally, is back for 2022. This year, the event is being held June 7-11, back in the usual location of Lake George.

If you are not familiar with Americade, it’s a week-long festival of motorcycling that includes tours of all kinds in the Adirondacks of New York and the Green Mountains of Vermont. It also hosts a massive trade show, including about 200 vendors with 300,000 plus square feet of moto gear and accessories.

The event also hosts many moto manufacturers, and they will be offering free demo rides. Presently, nine different manufacturers are bringing machines for your to try. Generally, each brand brings a wide range of models for you to test. You’ll usually have at least 30 minutes to ride on a mixture of highways and winding roads.

Americade – free demo rides

The demos will be offered from Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. So far, the following manufacturers will be in attendance and plan to bring the following models:

Things to do

Since Americade is an event for all makes of bikes in all the different motorcycling genres, there are many different kinds of activities. For example, it will feature both guided and unguided street rides as well as an adventure ride with eight-time enduro champion Mike Lafferty.

In your time off the bike, you can take advantage Americade’s many interesting and exciting happenings. For example, you can decide to take a boat cruise on Lake George, participate in the event’s “Road Sessions,” see a comedy show, go to a concert, attend the event’s opening and closing parties, watch moto stunt shows, and other moto oriented experiences.
