Well, this could be considered a bit surprising, considering the times. However, it seems that the powersports industry in the US is excited to show off its wares. The US’s AIMExpo industry-only Powersports Trade Show has sold all of its available floor space. The show runs this weekend, February 15th to 17th.

A quick view of the expo’s floor plan shows at least one vendor in every booth on the show floor. In all, according to the venue, 326 powersports companies will attend this year’s show.

Bucking the relatively recent trend to use only digital product presentations, several OEM motorcycle manufacturers will be in attendance this year. Major OEMs like Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Triumph will be there. In addition, the Pierer Mobility brands, including KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas, will attend. MV Agusta will also appear as a result of its partnership with KTM. For some of the “lesser” known companies, Moto Morini will make its US debut along with Benelli, Loncin, and Keeway.

While the AIMExpo is a trade-only show, it’s good to see that the manufacturers believe there is enough interest in their products to spend the money and time to attend and display them. Could this be a sign that the OEMs and significant partners believe that investing in motorcycle shows is still important?

Further, if the attending companies have good results from AIMExpo, could it suggest that it is time to start inviting the public again? What do you think? If motorcycle shows make a comeback, would you attend? Let us know in the comments below.
