What would it be?
Short rides I can handle below 30 without heated gear (which I have) but the majority of my riding is 40 and above. The humidity can be brutal here and it does rain. Currently have a BMW Rallye suit from 2003-4ish, a cheap mesh jacket and a Vanson leather jacket. None are water proof so I have a neon yellow Frogg Toggs rain shell when it rains. Ideally, I'd like to consolidate to one jacket. Most of my riding is on road, probably 20% gravel/dirt roads and 3% tight...

Pretty interesting Review on the new Schuberth C5 modular Helmet. These guys do a pretty darn good job on reviewing helmets
Very interesting to see it doesn't come out on top in a head to head with the Shoei Neotec 2 , the HJC RPHA90 and some other expensive modular helmets. The modular helmet market used to be theirs, but they can seem to come out on top any longer.

Howdy,
Just bought a DR650 and started riding again. When I had my DR350, I rode while wearing my offroad armor under my Carrhart jacket and regular jeans. I was riding 90/10 dirt/road at that point. I'll be riding 50/50 now, and would like some abrasion resistance. I've looked at Klim, and quickly realized I am too poor for that. I still have my offroad elbow pads, knee pads, kidney belt, boots, and chest protector. I'm using my offroad helmet and goggles for now until I get a visor helmet...

I'll stick with Cardo as I can still pair with the other G9 I have for my passenger helmet.
Seems to me the Packtalk Bold is getting a little aged atm with older BlueTooth standards etc. Last update was....2019?

I’m a self confessed gear junkie. I've bought and sold stuff from all the big names; Vanson, Aerostich, Klim etc.
These days I’m riding mostly Dual Sport. About 60/40 paved/dirt. Some slab, big temperature variations, Jeep trails and twisties of all varieties. I have leathers that don’t get used much, an Aerostich Roadcrafter for quick and easy protection in mild weather and a Klim Overland jacket/Darien pants combo that gets used the most.

I'm on an Adventure 890R with Mosko 35L soft panniers. The bags are great, however my fuel mileage drops significantly (as expected). I was wondering if anyone has any experience with rackless setups (ie. Mosko Reckless 80) being more fuel efficient? There's no avoiding the drop in MPG due to extra weight with either setup, but I thought maybe the slightly narrower profile with reckless would cut down on some of the drag.

Im riding mostly in Norway and after many seasons I think I have found the about correct formula when it comes to rider gear. Flexibility is for me key as the temperature and conditions may vary a lot here in Norway.
Here is my gear:

Has anyone used Knox’s current waterproof gloves? How does the quality compare to other brands? I’m considering the current (Mk 3) Covert gloves as a three-season waterproof option but have never used Knox gloves.

Hey gang,
Looking for some feedback and recommendations. I wear glasses but not legally blind just yet . I often wear contacts when riding with my Arai XD4. I was thinking about making the move to a pair of prescription glasses while riding. I have been looking around and even with the most basic lenses in an Rx pair you can spend over $300 pretty easy. I totally understand the concept of quality but just thought imwould get some recommendations from the inmates. Thanks for any feedback.

If any of you know me you know I make riding videos, lots of them . I’m seeing some incredible footage taken from a drone and I’m planning on adding aerial footage to some of my videos. Out in the desert there’s a distinct lack of trees to fly into so I’ve got that going for me.
The market for these has really opened up in the last year, lots of innovation. The follow me aspect has been a little slower to catch up but from what I can see it’s getting there.
