For a couple of years now, we’ve been telling you about the FIM’s newE-Xplorer World Cup. This is the FIM’s inaugural EMX bike championship. These machines are not quite full-sized motorcycles, but they’re bigger and more powerful than the e-bikes you see pressed into around-town commuting and pizza delivery, etc. The E-Xplorer World Cup combines urban riding with aspects of motocross.

Taking the crown: EMX wins the first ever FIM E-Xplorer World Cup with MIE Racing.

一个令人兴奋的就职后season, Dutch based manufacturer EMX is crowned champion of the first ever FIM E-Xplorer World Cup with Midori Moriwaki’s MIE Racing team. Riders Sandra Gómez and Jorge Zaragoza secured the title after a thrilling final round, concluding the season with a ten-point advantage over the runners-up, the Gravity Team of Camille Chapelière and Kiara Fontanesi.

Speed and consistency

Equally impressive is the fact that the EMX bikes finished every session and race without any mechanical issues.

From production to the international racing arena

The FIM E-Xplorer World Cup provides the ideal arena in which to showcase the EMX proposal. Considering its mission to offer an enjoyable, easy to ride platform to riders of all skill levels, EMX entered the championship with the exact same bike that is available to motocross enthusiasts. With only the suspension and tires changed to suit riders’ preferences, no further technical modifications were made to the production model in order to compete in the championship.

About MIE Racing

Midori Moriwaki established the MIDORI Corporation in March 2018 with the aim of expanding in the motorsports industry and set up her own “MIE RACING HONDA TEAM” that same year, with the intention of competing in the Superbike World Championship as of 2019. Always keen to push the boundaries so as to explore new paths, test and develop new technologies, and, last but not least, promote promotion of gender parity in sport, Midori Moriwaki also entered the inaugural 2023 FIM E-Xplorer World Cup, ultimately securing the title with MIE Racing riders Sandra Gomez and Jorge Zaragoza aboard EMX XF30 machines.
