F850GS accessory power

I'll be on a rental F850GS in February, and would like to know if it has a 12V accessory power port. I am assuming that it's a 2020 or newer.

If so, what type (DIN/Powerlet, etc.) and where is it located?

If 2021 then yes, on the left dash side is a din style plug and on the right dash is a USB socket. Prior to 2021 I think you only had a single din style socket on the right side of the dash.

But be prepared for CANbus to shut down the circuit if it determines there's too much power draw. That's why many owners rewire the accessory socket via a fused cable directly to the battery.

I am going to plug a GPS into it, so should be good. Thanks, guys, for the information.

I have run my phone on that port on my 2019 without issue.

How does one access the battery on this bike? I may consider hooking up a power line directly to run a heated jacket. Any gotchas in doing so?

Battery is easy to get to, just remove the seat.
