Phoenix/Glendale: Looking for temporary/short-term housing

If you've followed my thread in Ride Reports, you might know that I've put my round-the-world trip on hold for the winter to build up some more funds and (hopefully) wait for the worst of Covid to pass to continue my journey next year.

Today I accepted a full-time job in Glendale, starting in a couple of weeks. I'm waiting for my paperwork to go through.

我ve been staying in a hotel for the last week, and though the room is nice, it's more than I'd like to pay ($80/night) and not the best neighborhood. It was the best place I could find.

我m seeking two things.

我m looking for a place to stay for about the next six months until around May. Ideally it would be within 30 minutes of Glendale. Would be furnished, as I own no furniture other than my sleeping pad and camp chair, and I'd have access to a single-car garage or carport to park my bike and a Mazda Miata. Though it would nice to have my own place, I would be open to renting a room in a house, or a guest house, or a loft, or an above-garage apartment.

In the meantime, I'm in immediate need of someplace to crash until I find a long term place to stay. Would you be willing to rent me a room to sleep for the next couple of weeks while I hunt for a more permanent living situation? Location is unimportant; anywhere in the within an hour or so of the Phoenix area.

我m not looking for a freebie. I will happily pay you market rates for housing, though I tend toward low-budget options. I can put down a deposit and first month's rent today.

46-year old male. No kids. No pets. No crazy ex-wives, or ex-wives of any kind. Quiet. Introverted, so I tend to keep to myself, though it'd be cool to find someone who would be up for some local rides. I rarely have guests, but guests should be ok if I want. Non-smoker. I like to drink beer and occasionally take an edible to help me sleep.

I don't yet know what my work schedule will be, but it's possible that I will work late evenings, leaving for work around 6pm and arriving home around 3 or 4am. It's ok. I'm quiet. It also means I'll be gone when you get home from work and I'll be asleep when you wake up. You won't even notice I'm there.

I wouldn’t think it wrong to cross post in your travel report what you need. A different type of adventure.

I have found a temporary place to crash. I'm waiting on my employment paperwork to go through. I don't want to commit to any sort of lease before I know for sure that I'll be working.

But in the next couple of weeks I'll be looking to find my own place, something with a garage or carport.
