Hi, As is common I’ve bent the front wheel. What are the the current options for a standard size replacement?I only see Touratech offering the Excel with spoke kit. Can’t seem to find an Excel in a 21x2.15” on it’s own.Located in Canada so that seems to narrow my options a bit. Is it euro or Japan laced? Thanks.
Woody's x 1000 They have 2.15s now with a safety bead if you want to do a tubeless front, or narrower if you tend to dent them offroad and want to keep running tubes. You can even change colors :)
I don't think any harder than the rear. It's just a small inner lip to keep the bead in place if the tire loses pressure. Many bikes have them. Our stock fronts don't.
I bent my front BMW mag wheel on my F700 and bought these to replace them as these cost less than just one front rim from BMW. I got them off eBay… OEM style and no tubes. You can use the on board tire pressure monitoring. Very, very good quality and cost me $1500 (Cdn pesos) for both front and rear (and I see the price has gone up a bit) Good luck. https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313&_nkw=VMX+3.0*19''/+4.25*17+Tubeless+CUSH+Drive+Wheels+Rims+For+BMW+F700GS+2012-2020&_sacat=0
@4RF RDSwere you able to use your factory sprocket carrier in the VMW Cush drive? Thinking about a set of these on the wife’s bike. Being able to sell her alloy wheels afterwards would help defray some cost.
Yup, no issues what so ever. It was super simple and easy to fit. Apparently these guys are the OEM supplier for BMW.
Thank you. Was worried the sprocket would have to be unbolted from carrier. They are supposed to be one time use.
