As a PA native this is great to see! Can you share any details around dirt vs paved ratio, as well as any guidance on number of days to complete? I am thinking 3 days, but that could be aggressive depending on how technical the dirt sections are...

    Thanks for the share.

I have yet to personally ride it, but will be this coming weekend. Another friend has ridden it and completed it in three days. The majority is dirt.

@CannonsvilleRiderwhat do you think about linking this up with some southern tier NY/finger lake Rally tours to make a 5-6 day loop out of it? Do you have any ideas or proposed routes that would work with it? Prefer dirt over scenic paved - BDR style. Thinking about riding this with@ride4321and@apriliarstnext spring. Head east from Binghamton to do this east -> west, and then back east through Allegheny NF again on different roads, connecting through Corning/Elimira somehow (Twin Tiers tour?) to the Ithaca/Watkins Glen Rally routes and back down to binghamton. I think the biggest challenge will be to find cheap easy camping in NY.

@ejm4Would it be ok to add the CPAT route tohttp://advcatskills.org/Maps/? I think I could do a pretty good job of color coding the roads from the satellite images on the western part, and I have ridden a fair amount of the terrain east of I81.

CPAT is a nice route! I look forward to riding it.

@kubcat我认为you could make some nice routes out CPAT, TwinTiers and MidlandPA. Add in some of the Catskills road and the NEBDR and you could ride for weeks without seeing the same view twice!!!

我认为that would be awesome, however I did not create it. I believe@brasscyclewas involved in the creation of the route.

Here are few details about the Cross Pennsylvania Adventure Trail, It is 623 miles long, it can be done in 3 (long days) 4 would be suggested. It is big bike-friendly, there are no technical sections as the route follows county, township, and state forest roads. All roads are public access roads (no gates). Tarmac to dirt ratio - I'm estimating 20%-80%. At this point, there's a northern route spanning the state, Buckhorn loop (160 miles), Grand Canyon loop (101 miles), Alleghany National Forest loop (169 miles). I should have the southern route ready in a couple of weeks. Few pictures from the route.

太好了!我有西方PA面积en really interested in exploring, but it's been a challenge to get there pre-Covid and basically impossible this year due to work restrictions on going out of state. I usually ride routes at least once before I color code them, but I think I can do a pretty good estimate from Google Earth since much of the track looks like forest roads.

@CannonsvilleRiderwould you be willing to add the loops as well, assuming its OK with@brasscycle? I really love your website/map interface to help me plan and download rides. Since I ride in both the Southern Tier/Catskills as well as Northern Tier PA, having these rides there as well would be great.

How easy is it to find camping along the way? State parks, private, stealth?

Pretty easy as there are some remote areas and never too far from a state park.

我认为this is outstanding. Most of my riding has been north of I-80 between around Ridgeway to Scranton, always unplanned with no tracks or routes. But I may want to do this to traverse the whole state. The only thing holding me back is it doesn’t have a cute name like Puppy Dog Route or Hamster. No, that’s not it, I’ll have to break down and figure out downloading gpx files and saving routes, etc. after years of ignoring or glossing over how all that works.

Is it possible to get the GPX track for this Cross PA Adventure Trail without belonging to Facebook? All the links I've seen and tried seem to require an account.

    TIA
