Agreed with the 750cc they are/were the meisters with the 750's so I for one would love that size...ish. Close to the T7 as it would be the nearest rival. Sadly we will not get any real news till fall...then maybe see the bikes this time next year....after Europe gets them first. Hopefully North America gets a better treatment than we are getting from Yamaha...NO RALLY bikes what a joke.

I'm fine with it being 850cc. Displacement = torque. What I'd like to see is it being substantially lighter than the competition. I doubt they'll happen, however.

Yes! lighter will win the crowds over every time. Says the guy that has to unload the bike when she decides to take a rest on its side!

No doubt. After you make a twin motor, electronics etc no new bike is going to ever be substantially lighter.

I'd say the only way you get substantially lighter an still have power is big thumper these days...and those are not coming to market in any great #s.

My disappointment with the T7 is, its only a few cubes larger than the old DR 650 motor . . . and the bike is 100 pounds heavier.

You might have thought with 40 years of advancement, they could have made it the same weight or lighter.

Weight and suspension is what an AT little brother needs to pay attention to. Off road performance. If they make it another pig overloaded with electronics . . . it deserves to fail.

    What's wrong with a thumper?

You'll have to do the suspension right off the dealers showroom.

I have to do that for any bike... I weigh 250lbs.

If "what you're doing here" is trying to make the point that it couldn't possibly be perfect, we all know that. Doesn't hurt to dream.
