I am attempting to install ROX risers on my f800gs and I’m finding it extremely difficult to the a grip on the stock clamp screws (torx) that hold the base of the ROX risers. I can’t get them tight enough to hold the bars securely. Any tricks?
Because there is bugger all clearance between the riser and the clamps I found it best to roll the risers forward and that gives better access to the rear screw. If you try to have the risers central you won't be able to get a torx key to fit in.
What he said, plus tighten the rear first with bars rotated forward. Then push the bars back & tighten the front.
Thanks for the replies! That is what I was doing, but I was just curious if anyone had found a better solution.
Change the bolts out to some Allen head bolts from your local nut ant bolt shop. That shout solve the issue.
