Looking to see how they fit, especially how they might look on black handlebars like mine.
Looks like there would be a gap at the mirror mounting point after removing the stock hand guards.

Hah, no problem’o. I love those things. Easy to install and look fantastic. I’m not sure where you think there would be a gap. The OEM guards leave no trace and the MAMs fit perfectly. Just follow their YouTube vid for install and keep things snug but not tight until full fit.

    My bike: 2019 R1250GS LOW.
Read the instructions, watched the video.
As is usual with any install for me lately- it's not going to be as easy as I thought...
Installed loosely, and there is no way that the guards will NOT hit the windshield well before full lock.
No risers, stock handlebar- the issue seems to be my GSA windshield...
Below 1/2 way down the windshield is clear-does not hit- at lock.
I like the GSA windshield, great for me on the highway/high speed stuff, my helmet is in a nice pocket of quiet air with the screen full up.
Don't think I want to use the standard screen...
Now I guess I need to try bar risers and see if I can make the two work together,
I have a set of ROX 1.5 BarBack risers- so 1.25 up, and 1 inch back- may work?
Anybody have a similar set up?
May have to start anew thread...

Gotcha. First, did you order the GSA or GS kit? The $10 difference is that the GSA kit provides longer bar end weights. This is, presumably, to give you better clearance for the windscreen. I thought it was more than that, but as best I can tell, that's the only difference. I ordered the GSA kit but didn't end up using the longer bar end weights because I do, in fact, have Wunderlich risers. They have a very similar profile as the BarBack's you have. With those risers, I liked the narrower overall width so I went with OEM bar end weights and it is impossible to hit the windscreen on my GSA.

I've got the extra bar end weights you're welcome to if you need them, but as mentioned if you use the risers you won't need them.

    I ordered the GS kit.
I think you are exactly right- the longer bar end weights move the guard out just far enough to clear the wider lower section of the GSA screen...
I have only put 3000 miles on this bike so far- I ordered the risers based on my last bike, a 2014 GS...
So far on the various types of riding I have done- I haven't felt the need for the risers...
I will take you up on the offer for the longer bar end weights and believe that will work for me- I'll PM you-
    Thanks!

I have the GSA kit with the longer bar end weights. It will still hit the windshield at full lock when it is in the high position. It doesn't hit in the low position...somewhere between high and low it stops hitting. I'm ok with the slight interference in the high position. Also a pic compared to the barkbusters that were on my old bike...

    Awesome, thank you.
It looks like you also don't have any bar risers installed...
So I may end up having to install risers to get to a point where there is NO contact at full screen height with the MAM guards...

I think it depends on where you like them when the shield is down. I prefer to have the guards somewhat barely above my knuckles when the shield is down. This gives good Colorado weather breathing for my gloved hands in 80% of my riding. When the shield is fully raised it is still enough to fully shield me, tested in 32 degree weather, not including wind chill! Everyone's mileage and preference may vary.

Wait, what....I was about to order the MAM for my GSA...it'll hit the windshield? Were these bars originally designed around a different bike?

I also lanesplit and the last thing I'd want to do is make it any wider so the idea of the "long" weights is going to be a problem.

Massabusa, I'll def keep an eye out for your thread if you decide to make one.

These are the extended weights you'll get with the GSA option which is $10 more. I think you should be able to adjust them so they do not hit. I have risers so I have gobs of space.

    OK-
    所以想要保持我的GSA wind screen-
and not have any contact at full lock with the MAM guards-
and not wanting to install risers at this time-
AND because side-burn has very graciously donated his unused wider bar ends to me-
I am going to wait to get the bar end weights and try to mount the MAM guards and see if there is a way to mount them without causing interference with the wider ends that works for me.
I'll post here, with some pictures when I get the time to try= hopefully this weekend.
    Stay tuned.

I really like the MAM hand guards!
    Look great, well made.
    Just need them to fit!

你会让他们适应,我保证!他们是worth it. I thought the "adjustabiltiy" was somewhat of a gimmick, until I had to take my bike in for the first service and my bad luck we got a cold front and it was 33 bloody degrees that day. No joke, raised the shield up and turned on the heated grips...hands stayed toasty. Later that day I rode home and it was 72 degrees, so shield down, nice and cool. Plus the look cool as hell!!

    Thank youside-burn.
I finally got around to installing theMAM Advance hand guards:
I also added theROX risersat the same time-
I found that as side-burn said- with the risers you don't need the longer bar end weights.
No contact between the ADVance guards and the ADV windscreen.
I tried with and without, liked the placement/angle of the bars without the longer weights.
I also addedGrip-Puppiesat the same time...
I went for a 2 day VT ride Monday and Tuesday, doing about 750 miles in total and I love my new ergonomics!

So if anybody needs the longer bar end weights I can send them on to you.
