Ordered the Xied for my F800ADV today. I am hoping for the same improvements you all have had. Bikes been great other than the standard snatchy throttle and I get a bit of surge when accelerating up long grades in 6th. Has to be a lean issue.
I have a Kaoko throttle lock on my F700 for cruise control that I use a lot. A side benefit is as you rotate it from fully off to its full lock position, the friction on the throttle return gradually increases. This friction really smooths out snatchyness. With no resistance, if you change your grip slightly or just sneeze, it can twitch the throttle. You can position the throttle lock anywhere within its full-off to full-lock range to get the resistance exactly where you want it. The Kaoko will also stay wherever you set it until you rotate it again. I think it makes a huge difference giving me a very smooth throttle response. I never back the Kaoko off completely anymore when it’s unlocked. And, as long as it’s not fully locked, the throttle will return to its idle position.
