I'll admit, I stole this thread idea from a Toyota Land Cruiser forum that I belong to. But it's a cool idea.
So what did you do with your Trials Bike today? Maintenance? Compete? Overhaul? Restore? Nothing? Post it here!
I'll start off. I dragged out my old 314 Montesa to get it ready for Trials Camping Silliness next year, and decided that the destroyed LH bar switch (that controlled the long-gone lighting system) had to go....

OK This is not about pointing fingers at anyone, just to share what happened to me.
My Bike is the 2017 300 raga version. It was bought by me, used 29 hours on it total, as of last night. The original owner I bought it from, actually was able to get the GRO branded oil, and he put it in the bike, I assume since new.
He solemnly swears that he put the hour meter on the bike within minutes of unboxing the bike. When I got the bike the meter showed 17.7 hours. I noted the clutch...

The past few years new Sherco and Scorpa models have been introduced pretty much at the same time. The 2020 Sherco has been out for months. Where is the 2020 Scorpa?
I wonder if they are delaying it to put the new motor they are working on in the Scorpa... Just a thought. Any thoughts (or rumors)?

I'm looking at getting the Tech Ts but there is not much information out there in regards to reviews. I am looking for a boot with a little more rigidity than say the Gaerne Oiled Boots...that and I am not crazy about the leather look. Hello Everyone,
I am looking for fork springs for the Olle 40 trials fork. I have an Electric Motion Escape from 2016 and these are the fork on the non-sport version.
I need a higher rate because, of course, I am heavier than the fit, light weight guys they design the bike for ;-) I'm 200 with street clothes.
Does anyone know of a source for these? There is a Marzocchi 40 fork with steel stanchions like mine, does anyone know if springs for this fork will fit the Olle? GasGas used the...

So I am getting around to some much delayed maintenance on my 2012 Sherco 2.9. Wasn't happy with the dealers idea of fork maintenance (when it starts leaking, bring it in and we will rebuild it). Been looking for fill levels for the forks. What little I have done involved measuring the oil level from the top of the tube with the fork collapsed and the spring removed. I have never found said level for this bike. Finally it dawned on me that since they are not leaking yet, just measure...

Finally got tired of the Sherco nubbie kickstand end. Machined a new foot to weld on the end. I knew the angle of the ground contact with the stock tip was off, but was astounded at the correction angle: View attachment 1897993 The new foot pad is tacked on in the above photo. Yup, it fits flat to the floor on that angle. My kickstand is not bent.
Had to cut a filler wedge to weld without massive filling. A bit tricky TIG welding to cast aluminum.
