Billy Bolt is once again the FIM SuperEnduro world champion, after clinching the title in the first race of the series’ Round Five, its second visit to Poland this season.

Bolt (a Husqvarna factory rider) ended the season with 310 points to Jonny Walker’s 250 points (Walker rides for Beta) and the 194 points of third-place Taddy Blazusiak (GasGas factory rider).

After the race, Bolt said every round was hard-fought this year, and even though he’s now won three consecutive SuperEnduro titles, he’s enjoying them each time, not getting bored.

What can I say, it’s been an incredible season! This is my third world title in a row, but with each one they get that little bit sweeter. Coming into the night, I knew I had a comfortable points lead to play with, but I wanted to go out there and give my best. Topping SuperPole helped the nerves and I rode hard in race one knowing that if I won I would also win the title. That felt so good.

Bolt might have said the series was hard-fought, but he dominated this year’s indoor competition, winning 14 out of 15 races (three per each weekend) and also winning all SuperPoles. He won the overall weekend podium in each of the five events.

However, while this season is over, another waits just around the corner. FIM’s Hard Enduro championship begins on May 17 with the Serbian round, and that’s a whole new game. There, Manuel Lettenbichler is the man to beat, after he took the 2022 title home. Bolt only finished eighth overall in that series last year.
